High school graduation rate
is the number of high school graduates for a given year (2008-09) divided by the first-time grade 9 fall enrollment (not including students who transferred out) four years prior (2004-05), plus students transferred in then multiplied by 100. Transfers out include student from the freshman class who transferred to another school or died prior to graduation. Transfers in includes those graduates who were not counted in the 2005 first-time grade 9 fall enrollment and may include students who transferred from another school, with or without disabilities, and students who graduated in fewer or more than four years.
