No Child Left Behind requires that ten sub-groups of students must meet or exceed the state targets each year. Subgroups of 45 or more count for AYP.
To ensure confidentiality in reporting, subgroups of less than 10 are not reported. The subgroups are as follows:
- Aggregate for the school as a whole
- Asian/Pacific Islander
- Native American
- Multi Racial/Ethnic
- LEP - Limited English Proficient
- Students with Disabilities
- Economically Disadvantaged (also described as Low Income on the Illinois Interactive Report Card)
Scores may be filtered by the above sub-groups as well as disaggregated by gender in the IIRC.
